3D - VFX War (Season II) - By MAAC South Extension, MAAC Rajouri Garden & MAAC Faridabad
Setting another milestone in the Animation & VFX industry, MAAC South Extension, MAAC Rajouri Garden & MAAC Faridabad present 3D - VFX War Season II. The event would be staged at the Hotel Parkland Exotica, Chattarpur in New Delhi, on 17th of April from 1 pm onwards.
The highlight of the event would be cultural performances by students and Short Film competition in which student teams of MAAC South
Ex, MAAC Rajouri Garden, and MAAC Faridabad submitted their entries. The short films are of duration of upto 2 mins.
Started in 2008 with just 20 films & 190 Student participant film entries across both centers, 3D - VFX WAR has grown to more than over 42 films and 400 plus student participants this year. Competing in different award categories, 3D - VFX WAR has seen the entries in Stop Motion as well as 2D Category apart from the 3D & VFX Category, this time.
The event provides a platform where students are exposed to the entire production pipeline of movie making. By this exercise, students get to learn the know-how's & the nuances of film making. Starting from a concept, every group of students brainstormed, work hard, and convert their ideas to films within a span of three months.
The films are judged by the eminent members of the animation & vfx fraternity along the parameters encompassing several aspects of film production such as Story and Concept, Animation, Modeling, texturing, Lighting, Visual Effects to name a few.
MAAC South Extension, has always been the prime centre for MAAC all across India. Adding another feather to its cap it recently received the BEST CENTRE AWARD this year for its best all round student performance throughout the year. MAAC South Ext has achieved the highest placement record for year 2009- 2010 as well. With a strength of more than 1700 plus students MAAC South Ext has time and again proved it ability to deliver quality education in the field of animation and Vfx industry.
MAAC Rajouri Garden has always been one important member of the MAAC family. MAAC Rajouri has always been committed to recognize the talent of their students and reinforce their commitment to provide trained professionals to the 3D animation and Vfx industry.
MAAC Faridabad, which took shape in 2009 has already proven its mettle by unleashing a abundance of talented and enthusiastic students. Within a short span of time, MAAC Faridabad has provided a strong platform to the aspiring individuals for animation and vfx in its vicinity.
The function will be attended by MAAC's top officials, students and prominent people from animation fraternity. For general public, entries are allowed by passes only, which can be collected from any of the above centres.
