This impressive income is the outcome of India emerging as a hub of animation outsourcing. Production of milestone movies like Lord of the Rings, the Harry Potter series, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Spiderman 3 have materialized in India in the last few years.

Previously Cartoon Network monopolized the animation series. However, channels like POGO, Hungama TV, Nickelodeon, Disney XD and Disney Channel have come to the fore, thereby making competition tougher. The good news is that now Indian Animation experts are not helping the Hollywood studios. Job Trends in Animation Industry in India has changed and we have come up with our domestic projects.

There are various films that will be made in the coming years. These include Walt Disney's Zokkomon and Krayon Pictures' Delhi Safari. Apart from this million dollar industry, there is also a gaming industry, which is expected to grow about 36 per cent in the next four years. According to experts, all this has been due to the growing demand of outsourced work in country's animation studios. Professionals in this field believe that there is a dearth of well qualified and skilled individuals in this field. In this scenario, a number of animation institutes are coming up and cashing in on the Job Trends in Animation Industry in India.

At this juncture, it is also important that the Government forms a body like the UGC (University Grants Commission) and standardise animation courses in the country like the US. This in turn will pave the way for animation industry, which requires about 25,000 skilled employees in the coming year. Most importantly, this career has the capacity to offer creative satisfaction to the aspirants.

Hi Prachi, Read you article on Amination, it is very nice. You have given info very briefly. I have heard about an institute DIA-IMS. This institute is placed among the best colleges for Animation & Multimedia. Fee structure is under budget and provides opportunity to study abroad as well.
