How was JEE Main for B.Arch aspirants?

JEE Mains (Part 2) for B.Arch/B.Planning:

The first day of JEE Main 2013 – offline came to end with Part 2 for B.Tech/B.Planning courses. While for some students, the paper was a cakewalk but for some it was a hard nut to crack.

Ashu Chandra, who took the exam from Patna said that the paper was neither tough nor easy. For him the online Mathematics exam was way too tough. He informed,” I reached 10 to 15 minutes late for the exam as the centre was too far. In fact, the girls had to face a lot in terms of conveyance.”

 Subsequently, same was the case with many other aspirants in the city who took the exam today and were not given a choice to choose a centre.  

Harsh Barua who also took Part 1 for B.Tech courses said, “I found the paper easy. Drawing was the most scoring section as it had three questions – two for 20 marks and one for 30 marks. In short, we had to draw three figures; one of the question required us to make a mirror image without using a ruler (freehand). Second, was to sketch an astronaut/a girl’s dress/or an actor of our choice. Thirdly, we had to divide a rectangle into two-third and create a design with a circle and a square in it.”

“The remaining two sections were Maths in which I left 5-6 questions and aptitude was attempted fully,” he shared.

Another aspirant Anuj Patel who took the exam at Saffron Public School, Faridabad was happy with the offline paper. He said, “The paper was easy as I managed to finish it before time.” Though he said he wasn't really happy with the new JEE pattern. He said, "Earlier I could appear for both the exams – AIEEE and IIT – JEE. But with the introduction of JEE, my admission to IITs would solely depend on this new exam.”

For some students, the difficulty level for JEE was at par with AIEEE while for some JEE was easy, but students felt that predicting the score was easier in AIEEE unlike the new JEE.
