The National Testing Agency (NTA) has conducted the JEE Main 2020 Paper-2 for BArch and Paper-3 for BPlanning on January 6 in two slots. Candidates who appeared in the exam can read the analysis by JEE experts and watch JEE Main 2020 Paper-2 students’ reaction video.
JEE Main 2020 Paper-2 analysis will help the candidates appeared in the exam to understand the difficulty level of the question paper. The students’ reaction will provide an insight into the type of questions both topic wise and weightage-wise that candidates had to answer. It will also help the candidates to estimate either the JEE Main 2020 cutoff will be high or low.
According to JEE experts and students, JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 question paper was of easy to moderate difficulty level. JEE Main 2020 Paper-2 comprised three sections - Aptitude, Mathematics, and Drawing. The exam in total was three hours long with each section being 60 minutes. While the Mathematics section had 25 questions, the Aptitude and Drawing section had 50 and 2 questions respectively. Most of the students found the Mathematics section of the question paper difficult than the rest of the paper and also stated that the questions were the tricky ones in this section.
For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded +4 marks and for any question answered incorrectly, one mark will be deducted. The total marks of JEE Main Paper-2 is 400 with the drawing section being 100 marks (2 questions of 50 marks each).
According to students, in 2019, the Mathematics section of the JEE Main question paper was easier. They believed that the questions were difficult as well as tricky.
NTA will be conducting JEE Main Paper-1 for admissions to BTech courses on January 7, 8, and 9, 2020.
