In order to help the government in its fight against coronavirus pandemic, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has decided to provide its school premises for isolation centres. Until now 80 Kendriya Vidyalaya schools have been converted into quarantine centres.

Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Sangathan has decided to turn its premises into isolation centres, keeping that in mind, it has provided 80 of its school premises until now for the quarantine purpose. The Sangathan had decided that upon a formal request from defence authority or district administration.

Earlier, the teaching and non-teaching staff of the Sangathan had contributed Rs 10,40,60,536 for Prime Minister-CARES Fund.

These classes can be accessed by students through the SWAYAM Prabha portal. The virtual classes for the students went live on April 7, 2020.

School teachers were asked to inform the students about the online classes through e-mail, call, WhatsApp or SMS to ensure maximum participation.

To help students with their queries and doubts, KV Sangathan has selected some teachers for the live sessions which will be held by NIOS on the SWAYAM Prabha portal.

So far, 32, 247 teachers are taking classes using online resources. These classes have seen participation from approximately 7,07,312 students across the country.
