Andhra Pradesh allows Class 9-12 students to visit schools on voluntary basis

Schools in Andhra Pradesh to reopen for Classes 9 to 12 from tomorrow; i.e. September 21. Read further to know more.

Andhra Pradesh government has given its permission to reopen the schools across the state partially from tomorrow; i.e. September 21. However, the state government has given a choice to students to attend the classes either physically or virtually. This means the students studying in Classes 9 to 12 in Andhra Pradesh will now have the choice to attend the classes in person or online from tomorrow.

The state government of Andhra Pradesh has allowed schools to reopen for students from ninth standard to 12th standard. As per the guidelines released by the Ministry of Home Affairs, under Unlock 4.0, schools can open partially and begin classes from Monday, September 21, 2020, but only for classes 9th and above. Though the students are allowed to take a call on attending the classes in person or listen to them online, their decision must be informed and supported by their parents or guardians in writing to the schools.

As per the guidelines the students, teachers and schools have been instructed to adhere to all the Coronavirus safety measures for operating in a safe environment. The SOPs have been issued by the MHA recently. 

Schools across the country have been kept close since mid-March due to coronavirus outbreak in the country. The Board Exams had also been cancelled in various states this year to contain the loss due to this deadly virus.
