CBSE 12th Commerce Exam Pattern 2020
CBSE has released the CBSE Exam Pattern for Class 12th Commerce students. The exam pattern would give the students an insight into the marking scheme and the question paper structure. Read the article to know more.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CBSE Exam Pattern for Class 12th Commerce stream. All the students preparing for the CBSE 2020 exams must go through the CBSE 12th Exam Pattern for Commerce for better preparation of the exams. The exam pattern would give the students an insight into the marking scheme, question paper structure and also the type of questions asked in the examination. It would also specify the marks distribution in the CBSE examination.
This year, the CBSE 12th exams will begin from February 15 and go on till March 30, 2020.

The time duration of the exam is 3 hours. The marks of the theoretical paper is 80 marks and the Practical/ Project Work consists of 20 marks. The total no. of questions in the theoretical paper are 32. There are 5 types of questions in the theoretical paper:
- Multiple choice questions consisting of 1 mark
- Questions with short answer I consisting of 3 marks
- Questions with short answer II consisting of 4 marks
- Questions with long answer I consisting of 6 marks
- Questions with long answer II consisting of 8 marks

- Objective type questions consisting of 1 mark
- Questions with short answer I consisting of 3 marks
- Questions with short answer II consisting of 4 marks
- Questions with long answer I consisting of 5 marks
- Questions with long answer II consisting of 6 marks

CBSE Class 12 Passing Criteria
In order to pass the examinations of all the subjects in the commerce stream, students will have to score at least 33 per cent marks in all the subjects in the main examination or in the compartmental examination. Hence, 33 per cent marks in aggregate is required to pass the examinations.
