CBSE exams as per schedule from March 2; Fresh dates for students who miss exams to release soon

In the view of violence and riots, schools will remain closed in northeast Delhi till March 7, 2020

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) fresh communication regarding the board examinations states that the Board examination 2020 will be conducted as scheduled from March 2 onwards and the Board has asked for a list of students who may feel difficulty in appearing for the examinations up to March 7, 2020.  

After consulting with Delhi Police, CBSE has expressed that the situation is under control and the Board can conduct exams safely for the students who are in a position to appear for the Board exams 2020. It further reasoned that any further delay in the class 12 Board examination can hamper student’s chances of admissions in professional courses like engineering, medical, law, and other UG courses.

The exam dates for JEE Main April 2020 is April 3 and April 19. Any further delay in the conduction of examination will affect students who are in a state to appear for the examination.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially writer the Commissioner of Delhi Police asking adequate security arrangements in and around the exam centres in the North-East part of Delhi.

Showing concern towards both the categories of students, first- who can appear for the examination as per schedule, and second- who are affected due to the prevailing violent conditions and cannot appear for the examination, CBSE has decided to conduct examinations as scheduled from March 2 onwards. However, the Board is also prepared to conduct examinations at a later date for students who would not be able to appear for the examination up to March 7, 2020.   

School principals are asked to provide the list of affected students who would not be able to appear for the examination till March 7. The Board has also asked concerned parties to extend support towards candidates who are able to appear for the examinations as per schedule. Candidates who would not be able to appear for examination till March 7, 2020, are requested to contact their school principal, who would then inform CBSE about the same.  

Meanwhile, in the view of violence and riots, schools will remain closed in northeast Delhi till March 7, 2020. According to officials, the annual exams have also been postponed since the situation is not conducive for conducting examinations in violence-affected areas.
