Q. Congratulations! Did you expect to be the topper of the exam?

A.

Thanks. Yes definitely! I did hard work throughout the year and getting 99.4% is just like a mere dream come true!

Q. What was your preparation strategy?

A.

I mainly focused on the quality. I studied each and every line very carefully. I used to give one or two hours to each subject daily. Besides I used to solve past years’ papers and used to compare it with the toppers’ answer sheets.

Q. What was your schedule when you were preparing for the exam?

A.

I used to study till late at night, about 2 o’clock, and get up at 8 am. After 9 am, I used to study till night, taking breaks of one hour after each subject. At night I used to go through the important questions and Arihant Sample papers.

Q. Any time management tips for students while preparing for the exam?

A.

According to me, time management is very important for Humanities students as we have to write 100 marks question papers in just 3 hours in subject like English and Hindi. So, during preparation students should solve a lot of sample papers. And divide the time of 3 hours between different sections so that one can complete the examination before the time.

Q. According to you, where do students generally go wrong in their preparation for board examinations?

A.

I suppose students take excessive burden of the examination. Most of the students focus on quantity but not on quality. So, what matters is that they must be calm and regular with studies.

Q. How did you unwind while preparing for the exam?

A.

I am fond of studying and thus a situation never came when I was exhausted. I love to study.

Q. As per you which books are important to score well in the exam?

A.

I used a lot of reference books besides N.C.E.R.T for exams. In English, I chose Exam idea and All in one. In Economics I preferred VK Ohri, All in one and Exam idea. In Geography I practiced a lot of maps and used N.C.E.R.T only.

Q. How important is revision in the exam?

A.

Revision definitely plays an important role in the examinations. I started revision in the month of December. A student should revise their subjects as much as they can.

Q. Any time management tips while giving the exam?

A.

Divide each section with time and write the answers in the word limit. Extra words do not give extra marks.

Q. What are the things that students should keep in mind while sitting in the exam hall and giving the board exam?

A.

In my case I tried to keep my calm and be confident that I have learnt everything. I used to concentrate and focus totally on these attributes.

Q. Any tips for future aspirants?

A.

Learn and study well. Be confident throughout the year. And never focus on marks. Keep your goal in mind and make a proper timetable.

Q. Are you planning to give any entrance exams?

A.

I want to pursue law and for that I have appeared for CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) only.

Q. What are your future plans?

A.

I want to pursue law as I want to become a judge. I want to pursue BA LLB (Hons) from NLSIU, Bangalore.
