Students can register themselves from September 10, 2021, in order to attend these sessions. The first session on Neeraj Chopra and Newton's Law of Motion will be aired on September 26, 2021.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has collaborated with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar to launch the Eklavya series for students. Students can check more details about the online educational programme on eklavya.iitgandhinagar.ac.in. The collaboration for online education programme is a part of the implementation of NEP 2020.
What will students learn?
Eklavya will containseveral hands-on activities, projects, models which help in conceptual understanding of various topics. Students will be asked thought provoking questions and given assignments that will promote out-of-box thinking. They will also be encouraged to follow the idea of Inspiring DIY (do it yourself).
Eklavya series for NEP 2020 will be aired on YouTube. The direct link to watch the series will be made available later. However, if students require a participation certificate or a certificate of competency, they will have to pay Rs 100 plus tax. The board said the content would be of varying levels and would cover topics in science and mathematics curriculum of Classes 6 to 12. Therefore, students from these grades should avail of this opportunity.

- Time: Live every Sunday from 4 to 5 pm; first episode on September 26, 2021; topic: Neeraj Chopra and Newton’s Laws of motion.
- Registration: Students and teachers can register online at ccl.iitgn.ac.in/eklavya or cbseacademic.nic.in/eklavya.html. Registration is compulsory and free of cost
- Live episodes: Episodes will be aired live on youtube.com/IITGNCLI
- Certificate: Participation certificate for all modules and certificate of competency for the whole course will cost Rs 100 plus tax.
