CBSE releases guidelines for practical examinations

The Central Board has released the practical examination guidelines 2020. Read to know more.

 

 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the guidelines for the practical exam of All India Senior School Certificate Examination. The practicals will commence from January 1, 2020, and continue until February 7, 2020 and will be conducted in two types of schools- winter bound and summer bound. All the students appearing for the CBSE Board 2020 will have to attend the practical examinations or project assessment while ensuring 100% attendance.
The practical examinations will be conducted under the supervision of an external and an internal examiner at the respective school. The practical exams will be conducted in batches, each batch consisting of 20-25 candidates. The practical exams of at least 2 batches should be conducted each day, as per the official notice.
The marks obtained by the students will be uploaded on the official website of the Board by the external and the internal examiners.

However, CBSE class 10 and class 12 private students will not be required to appear for the practical examinations. As per the official notification, the practical marks of the private candidates (appearing in 2019-20) who had appeared as regular candidates in 2018-19, whose marks are in the result data of 2019 examination will be carried over for the 2020 board examinations.

For Class 12, practical marks of candidates who had appeared prior to 2019 i.e 2018 and before that, practical marks will be given on pro-rata basis that is basis the marks secured by them in the theory examination. In respect of the candidates, who had failed/ absent in 2019, the marks for the practicals will be given on pro-rata basis. Moreover, candidates who had passed in 2018 and will be appearing for an additional subject having practical/project component, marks will be given on pro-rata basis.

#HELPme sir it is a big problem regular students can score 30 out of 30 because of their school.But if a private candidate score 40% then he will get only 12 out of 30 and total marks will be 52. But his total marks should be 70 because he has the right to get 30 in practical. It's a kind of cheati

As a regular candidate I gave my 12th board in 2018 and as a private candidate I gave my 12th board in 2019 and both of the time I failed. Does my practical marks carry forward? I m giving 2020 board as a private candidate this year
