CBSE Syllabus 2020 for Class 12 Commerce
CBSE Syllabus 2020 for Class 12 Commerce has been released by the Central Board. Students must go through the entire CBSE 12th Syllabus and prepare for the exams accordingly.
CBSE has released the CBSE 12th Syllabus 2020 for Commerce students. All the students preparing for the CBSE Class 12th Commerce exams 2020 must go through the syllabus carefully and prepare accordingly. The article given below provides the students with the CBSE Syllabus 2020 along with the weightage.
The CBSE 12th examinations 2020 will commence from February and continue until March 30, 2020, as per the official schedule.
CBSE class 12th students have in total five subjects for the board exam. Of the 5, 4 subjects are compulsory, while the 5th subject is an Elective (Optional). Electives can be decided by the students depending upon their interests. It can be selected from multiple subjects like Maths/Informatics Practices/Physical Education etc.
CBSE Syllabus for Class 12 Commerce
Student can opt for the following electives for CBSE Class 12th Commerce:
- Accountancy
- Business Studies
- Economics
- English
- Mathematics/ Informatics Practices / Physical Education
CBSE Syllabus 2020 for 12th Commerce- Accountancy
The entire syllabus for accountancy is divided into three parts.
Part A: Accounting for Non-Profit Organisations, companies, and partnership firms have three units which are financial Statements of Non-Profit Organizations, Accounting for Companies and Accounting for Partnership Firms. These topics cover 60 marks.
Syllabus of Analysis of Financial Statements
The syllabus is divided into two parts as Financial Statement Analysis and Project work. Analysis of Financial Statements and Cash Flow Statement are two units under Financial State Analysis. These topics consist of 20 marks of the entire syllabus.
Project work consists of a Project file, Written-test, and viva examination which again constitute 20 marks of the exam.
Syllabus for Company Accounts
It is again divided into two parts, such as Computerized Accounting and Practical Work. Similarly, as above 20 marks are for Computerized Accounting and 20 marks for Practical Work

CBSE Syllabus 2020 for 12th Commerce- Business Studies
Principles and Functions of Management, Business Finance, and Project Work are the three different parts of business studies, in which the syllabus is divided.
- Principles and Functions of Management: The syllabus consists of the nature and significance of management, principles of management, planning, business environment, organising, directing, staffing, and controlling. This part constitutes 50 marks of the paper.
- Business Finance: The syllabus consists of Financial markets, Financial management, Marketing Management, and Consumer protection. This part constitutes 20 marks of the paper.
- Project work makes 20 marks.

CBSE Syllabus 2020 for 12th Commerce- Economics
The syllabus is divided into three categories:
1. Introductory Microeconomics:
It consists of topics such as Introduction, Demand, Consumer's Equilibrium, Producer Behaviour, Supply and Forms of Market, and Price Determination under perfect competition with simple applications which is given 40 marks.
2. Introductory Macroeconomics:
This includes topics such as Determination of Income and Employment, Money and Banking, National Income and Related Aggregates, Government Budget and the Economy, Balance of Payments. This topic has a weightage of 40 marks.
- Project work: It is awarded 20 marks.
