Giving some relief to the students of class 9 and 11, the Delhi government has announced that the results for the same classes will be announced within three days of lifting the lockdown. The government said in a response to a student's query raised during a live session.
On Friday, the Delhi government had conducted a live session, in the presence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Education director of Delhi Binay Bushan and Education Minister of the state Manish Sisodia.
Binay Bushan said in a response to the student's question about the date of release of results that it will be out in three days after the lockdown.
The live session was conducted to understand the problems faced by students and parents during the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown. During the lockdown, the students of class 9 and 11 asked about their exams, which Bushan answered that only some subject's exams were left to be conducted which will not be conducted after the lockdown ends. As per the guidelines issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and the promotional policy the result will be announced within a few days once the lockdown period is over.
"The results for classes 9 and 11 will be announced based on the exams that were already conducted before the lockdown. No more examination will be held for both classes. Schools in the state have been directed to promote students of both of these classes based on their internal assessments," Bushan added.
The CBSE will, however, hold the board exams for 29 major students for college applications post lockdown. Students should not worry as the authorities are working out for solutions, which will be best for them, said Rama Sharma, CBSE board official.
