Coronavirus in India: 40 school students sent to isolation centre, 5 schools shut

40 students who came in contact with the first infected case of Coronavirus in Noida have been sent to isolation for 28 days.

40 students who came in contact with the first infected case of Coronavirus in Noida have been sent to isolation for 28 days. The first coronavirus positive case is a parent of the student of Shriram Millenium School, Noida. The children came in contact with the infected person at a Birthday party. The students have been tested for Coronavirus infection and have been kept in the isolation ward until the test results clear them. According to earlier reports, two schools in Noida i.e. Shiv Nadar School, Noida and Shriram Millenium School, Noida have been closed until March 9, 2020.

The premises of both schools are being sanitized to make it safe for the students. Noida Chief Medical Officer Anurag Bhargava visited the premises of both the schools to begin the sanitization process. Coronavirus scare is growing in Delhi-NCR. With two private schools being shut in Noida, three other branches of Shriram Millenium School (one in South Delhi and two in Gurgaon) have advanced their spring breaks in order to take precautions. Shiv Nadar School, Noida has announced holidays till March 10. However, The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar, will be closed Thursday onwards. According to the official reports, the holidays will be utilized sanitizing the school premises as a precautionary measure.  

There are approximately 70 people who came in contact with the Covid-19 patient. The number includes six people from Agra and 44 who attended the party thrown by him. All the people have been kept under watch while their test results are awaiting.
