All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) directed all its affiliated academic institutes to disburse the salaries of the faculty members and staff.
In the midst of prevailing health and economic crisis in the country due to the outbreak of the infectious novel coronavirus, All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) directed all its affiliated academic institutes to disburse the salaries of the faculty members and staff.
While classes are suspended, educational institutes are shuts and examinations are postponed in the wake of the nationwide lockdown in the country to control the spread of COVID-19, the government advised institutes to carry on with the teaching-learning process online. All this while, the staff was asked to work from home and explore different ways to conduct interactive classes, share study material, and conduct exams online.
However, due to the closure of the academic institutions, many complaints regarding deduction of salaries and delay in disbursal of salaries started coming in. In order to curb the delay in salary issues raised by the staff members, AICTE released an official notification to make the institutions understand the need to disburse salary on time.
