According to the reports, CISCE collaborated with ‘Fit India Mission’. The collaboration led to a well-customized programme with developed special physical activities for the students studying in ICSE schools.
With closed schools, deferred exams and suspended classroom lectures, thousands of students are forced to study from home. The nationwide lockdown imposed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus has refrained children from outdoor activities. The COVID-19 lockdown is taking a toll on children’s mind and body. In order to give children some relief from all the ongoing stress and anxiety, the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) announced an online stay fit programme. The students of the schools affiliated to CISCE can avail this programme.
According to the reports, the council has entered into a collaboration with ‘Fit India Mission’. The collaboration led to a well-customized programme with developed special physical activities for the students studying in ICSE schools.
During the time when physical activity, outdoor games and sports is almost zero among children, CISCE in collaboration with Fit India Mission will live sessions by experts covering a range of topics for the holistic wellbeing of school-going children. The programme will include basic exercises and actionable tips related to them, knowledge on nutrition, yoga and meditation, immunity-boosting techniques and more. The session will be conducted live on the YouTube channel ‘Fit India Movement’ at 9:30 am every day.
Meanwhile, CISCE declared that the board neither announced new dates for the postponed board examinations nor cancelled the examinations altogether. The official declaration by CISCE came when some fake notices started making rounds on social media.
Issuing clarification regarding the fake news, the board said that four of such notices came to the council’s notice. Two of these fake documents are dated April 1, 2020, and the other two notices are of March 28 and February 7, respectively. The board advised students to monitor the official website of the board for authentic information.
