To avoid students getting out of touch from their routine and academics during this nationwide lockdown period, Dhirubhai Ambani International School has commenced online classes through a virtual platform.
The Dhirubhai Ambani International School has commenced stay-at-home life teaching through a virtual platform to avoid academic loss of the students amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Nita Ambani, Founder Chairperson of the school, in a video message to students and their parents said that this is the beginning of the new session and a new academic term. But in a new way. These are challenging times.
The nationwide lockdown imposed by the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus should be followed strictly. The coming weeks are very crucial for the country in its bid to fight against coronavirus. Stay at home, stay healthy, she urged.
Talking about its impact, she said, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Board Diploma and Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) have cancelled their exams and schools around the worldwise have been shut down. These shut down have impacted 80 per cent of the total learners around the world, which means over 1 billion students' studies have got affected.
At Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS), we aim for the holistic development of all our children. This is the time for us to instill hope, resilience, and courage in our children. With our campus remaining closed, until further notice, we are commencing life teaching through our virtual school platform so that our children get the school experience and education while staying safe at their homes, she said.
The details about the stay-at-home learning will be communicated shortly by the school authorities, she added.
Assuring students of good times ahead, she said, we need to win this fight against coronavirus together and for that all your teachers, friends and the entire DAIS family is with you.
