Amid suspended classes and postponed exams due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, Mahatma Gandhi University, (MGU) Kerala is all set to resume university exams from May 18 onwards. According to the reports, the exam controller of MG University informed that the university will begin undergraduate and postgraduate semester exams from the third week of May 2020.
According to the information released by MGU, the sixth and fourth-semester exams will be resumed on May 18 and May 19 respectively. However, the fifth semester UG private examination will begin on May 25. Meanwhile, the practical exams for the undergraduate sixth and fourth semester will commence in respective colleges from May 25 and 28, respectively.
For postgraduate courses, the fourth-semester exams will begin on May 25 and the practical exams will be conducted from June 8. The second semester UG exams will begin in the second week of June along with the practical exams.
Candidates who are supposed to appear for MGU semester exams must note that MG University's detailed timetable for UG, PG exams will release later. The timetable is being prepared in anticipation of relaxation amid the restriction imposed due to the COVID-19 outbreak by May.
The MG University also decided to begin home valuation from June 1. The home valuation will take place in nine centres and is expected to be completed within one week. In order to control the spread of the novel coronavirus, the examinations and home evaluation will take place following strict preventive measures laid down by the health ministry.
