The Odisha government in collaboration with Unicef have launched an online cultural competition for children, to keep them engaged at home during this 21-days lockdown period.
To keep children active and engaged at home during the lockdown period, the Odisha government in collaboration with the Unicef has launched an online cultural competition.
Speaking about the competition, Odisha government's COVID spokesman Subroto Bagchi, said that children can participate in various competitions like painting, slogan writing, short stories, poems, poster making, etc. All the winning entries will get certificates.
Amid the nationwide 21-days lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus, all the educational institutes around the country were closed. To encourage students during their stay at home many universities have come out with different ideas to keep them focussed and motivated.
The competition is named Mo Prativa (My talent) for the children in the age group of 5 to 18 years. The children can participate in two themes: Being at home during the lockdown and My responsibility as a young citizen during COVID-19.
The competition will be conducted under three categories: for 5 years to 10 years, 11 years to 16 years and 17 years to 18 years. The children can upload their entries everyday between 10 am to 6 pm.

The winning entries will be used as an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials by the state government, Bagchi said.
On March 24, the nationwide lockdown was announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, due to rising number of positive cases of coronavirus in the country.
