The Delhi government recently asked suggestions from different stakeholders including students, teachers and principals about the roadmap to be followed in order to reopen schools post COVID-19 lockdown. The government published an online suggestion form on the official website of the Directorate of Education. According to the official statement, through that suggestion form, the students, teachers, principals and parents can give their inputs, an official statement said.

The Respondents who will come up with out-of-the-box suggestions will be invited to share their thought with the Education Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia through online platform.

The state further added, "The dialogue sessions will be centred on how each stakeholder views the challenges and opportunities created by COVID-19 situation, constraints we are likely to face in times to come and steps that need to be taken from now onwards to create an education set up that ensures equitable quality learning and wellbeing of all children in post lockdown phase.”

It’s been almost two months since the universities and schools across the country are closed due to the lockdown imposed by the government in order to contain the spread of the deadly virus COVID-19. The government first imposed the shutdown on March 19 that got further extended to the third phase of the COVID-19 lockdown. For now, the third phase of the lockdown is supposed to end on May 17, 2020. However, Delhi schools will re-open on July 1 as the government already declared summer vacations until June 30.
