Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal has launched a mobile application for primary school students in the state, to help them study at home during the lockdown period.
The 'Sampark Baithak' mobile application has about 500 videos and audios lessons on various concepts.
While talking about the application, the minister, said that the curriculum for class 5 students have been made in a simple and interesting way by making use of cartoons and films. This app is expected to help students, especially those who are studying in Hindi Medium schools.
Through the app, the students can learn mathematics in the most simple format, a lot of stories and poems are also available in Hindi, he said.
The education minister said that parents can install this application on their smartphones and sit with their children and show them videos related to the curriculum. Children can continue to study during the lockdown, he said.
To track the academic progress of the students, worksheets have been provided, which will be monitored in the app simultaneously, Pal said.
He said the education department can also monitor the progress of teachers through this application.
To get all the latest information like departmental circulars and others, students can check the mobile application. Teachers can share all necessary data through the 'Sampark Baithak' mobile application if required.
All educational institutions in the state were shut down in March-mid, due to the coronavirus outbreak. In order, to keep students in touch with their studies and to avoid any academic loss, the education department has also started conducting online classes until the situation gets normal in the country.
