Hostel Facilities in Sanghmitra B.Ed College

The students need to apply for the hostel as soon as the admission starts because it is based on a first come first serve basis.

Sanghamitra Teacher Training College, Jharkhand, is located in Chuttupalu, Ranchi with its head office at the Buddhist Mission Campus Bariatu Road, Ranchi. Being one of the best B.Ed colleges in Jharkhand, the college is approved by NCTE. It is affiliated with Ranchi University and follows the two-year degree course and syllabus the same.

Sanghamitra B.Ed College with the most conducive infrastructure offers all the facilities including a hostel inside the campus. Since the college is situated on the outskirts of the city, the hostel facility is a must for the students. However, seats are offered only to female candidates. Very limited seats are available for minimal charges. The exact number of seats is not disclosed by the college but there are roughly around 50 seats. The campus is not huge so the distance from the hostel to a classroom is inconsiderable. There are proper facilities for the students except for the mess. Since mess is not available, no food charges apply. The students need to pay an instalment fee during the admission procedure. Also, the students need to apply for the hostel as soon as the admission starts because it is based on a first come first serve basis. Both single and double occupancies are available as per the need of the students. A warden is appointed to take care of the safety and need of the students in the hostel. 

Timings & Conveyance Facility at Sanghmitra B.Ed College

Since it is a training college, there are not many restrictions on the hostellers. However, students are supposed to return by 7 pm in the evening. A hostel facility with the bare minimum facility is available for the students. It is mainly for the convenience of the students who may not be able to travel from far distances daily. Other than that, it may be difficult to live with such basic facilities and no marketplace nearby. The college does provide bus facilities for the students but not for the hostellers since the hostel is on the campus itself.

School on the Campus

On the other side of the hostel is the college office, where the principal and all of the staff work. Adjacent to the office is the library and on the upper floors are the labs. Right in front of the office lies a playground with swings and sliders for children from the school that lies on the same campus. A huge hostel building for the school students is also built on the campus. But contradictory to the B.Ed College, which provides hostel facilities only to girls, the school hostel allows only boys. Another point of contradiction is the hostel type. The school provides an entire building as the hostel, whereas the college hostel is like small huts with different types of accommodations available. Washrooms are attached to each room.

There is quite a distance between the two hostels. In between them lies the college building with an open ground with natural vegetation. The entire campus is filled with lush green huge trees that add to the beauty of this place. Right behind the college are trees which surround the entire college. Approximately 100 meters from the hostel, there lies a very big playground. It is a few steps down from the campus building. Since the hostel is just at the beginning of the campus, there is a watchman or a guard standing there at any time of the day.
