The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) Class X results 2018 on May 14, 2018 at 3 pm. Swayam Das from Mumbai has topped the examination this year by scoring 99.40%. The second position is shared by Jasmine Kaul Chahal from Jalandhar and Anokhi Amit Mehta from Mumbai. Both of them have secured 99.20%. The third position is shared by 12 candidates.

Among four regions in the country, the Southern region topped with 99.69%, followed by the Western region- 99.67%, Eastern- 98.02% and Northern- 97.91%. Overall, 98.51% qualified the exam with most of the students being listed in Grade 1 by securing 90-100 marks in most subjects.

In 2018, 1,83,387 candidates appeared for ICSE Class 10th exam.Out of these, 1,00,369 candidates were boys and 83,018 were girls. The girls have outperformed boys with 98.95% pass percentage. The the pass percentage of boys is 98.15%.

The exam was held from February 26 to March 28 in 61 written subjects. Of these, 22 were Indian languages while 10 were foreign languages and 1 Classical language.
