If you have a determination nothing can block your ways, says Rohit

I belong to a farmer family from a Kheruwa Gaon located in Narshingpur district, India state Madhya Pradesh. I live in a joint family; farming is the only economic activity that we do. My father never went to school, my grandfather studied up to 2nd standard in 80’s. But my family members always motivated me to study of my choice.

I did my schooling in my village up to 8th standard. I have completed my 9th to 12th grade studies in CBSC school. In my school days my favourite subjects were accounts, finance, and Information technology. I love to play with numbers. I also had an interest towards digital technology in my school days. After completing my schooling, I went to St. Aloysius College, Jabalpur for perusing my B.Com. degree. This was quite difficult for me due to covid and one accident I met with in the middle of second year of my BCom was fine, but 2nd and 3rd year was online due to Covid-19 restrictions. During this time, I met with an accident, and this took about a month for me to get-up from bad, my fractured leg took couple of months to recover. This way I have completed my graduation with couple of common hurdles that our generation of students had to face amidst pandemic time and uncommon pain due to accidents. I was looking for a master’s program which can educate me with professional skills essential for the world we are entering, digitally equipped world. (I am the first person in my family who did a master's and going to do a job. I decided to do this because my family has only one source of income which is farming and is very risky to depend on the one income source so I decided I will become the second source of income for my family and take my family to a next level of growth.)

During that time, I have heard about AIDTM (Adani Institute of Digital Technology Management), I had my interest inclined to technology. I had decided to visit the campus after first conversation with AIDTM people. This was first time I was going outside the Madhya Pradesh. During my graduation time I was part of NSS. During NSS camps I made some friends from city of Ahmedabad. With their guidance I came to this city. I have never seen this big city ever before. I borrowed bike from my friend and reached to AIDTM. The moment I step in, I felt peace and tranquillity inside the campus, Dr. Rama, dean of the institute gave me a warm welcome.

Now, the next challenge was fees, my father borrowed money from the other relatives, for my studies at AIDTM. His tremendous support was my motivation to step up aging with all hardships that I may have to face.

Well, this was the beginning of my new chapter at AIDTM, after these may wars, finally, I reached to the classroom of AIDTM. Classes on Big data analysis, software like python, R and others were new battles that I had to fight from day one as I don’t have any tech background. My professor helped me a lot to learn all of these. my liking to carry out something from numbers also helped to overcome these difficulties at AIDTM classroom.

This way one year I have spent with learning, and practising, I succeed, I failed but try hard and hard with the support of friends and faculties. Now the time has arrived to apply my learnings into real world, it is SIP (summer internship project). I got the place in Adani Airport. I have heard about the corporate that ‘boss is the BOSS’ and other people do what boss says. But this has proven completely wrong for me at Adani Airports, my seniors (Mayur sir (Chief Talent Officer/HR Head), Nikhil sir (Senior Manager HR) and Ankeeta Mane (Assistant Manager Human Resources)) do believe in “work what you like with passion and dedication”. They said if we pressurise you then you won’t work efficiently.  My seniors are down to earth, caring and guide me whenever I need. It’s been almost a month that I have started working for them and I could give my contribution to data integration, designing of data entry templates, and other Data related stuff including creation of Dashboard. I could give my little contribution this way, as I got amazing training at AIDTM.

I am looking forward to conquering the new hights with my data analysis skills in digitally equipped world.
