President of India Felicitates IISM With Khel Protsahan Puruskar 2020
September 1, 2020: Upon completing its 10 years of excellence in the sports industry, President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind felicitated IISM - International Institute of Sports Management with Khel Protsahan Puruskar 2020 in the category of Development for Sports.
Nilesh Kulkarni, Founder Director-IISM, Sports Eduprenuer and Former Test Cricketer, has established the IISM as a key contributor to the growth of the sports industry by supplying it with qualified professionals in the field of Sports Management. He has successfully turned his experience on the ground into a platform for sport managers and aspirants through IISM for ten years now.
Out of many achievements, IISM is the first-ever institute in India to launch a dedicated Sports Research Journal- Sports Academia-Research Journal (SARJ), also published a report on ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 in collaboration with Professor Ratnakar Shetty.
IISM becomes Official Knowledge Partner for Khelo India Youth Games 2020
February 7, 2020: This year, Khelo India Youth Games completed its third edition between January 10 and January 22, 2020, with IISM - International Institute of Sports Management as the knowledge partner. The games were organised in Guwahati, Assam this year. Over 6800 athletes participated from 37 states and union territories and competed across 20 disciplines. Being the official partner, IISM students had the opportunity to display their skills by undertaking diverse responsibilities during the mega event such as Marketing, Branding, Media, Sports Presentation, Accommodation, Catering and Transportation. The students were working closely with Sports Authority of India (SAI), coordinating with the Secretariat and looked after State Coordination and Volunteer Management. The future Sports Management professionals from IISM did a colossal job to ensure smooth execution of Khelo India Youth Games 2020.
