IPU admission 2021 for Medical and Paramedical programmes is primarily entrance-based. The candidates are selected either through Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) or national-level tests conducted by various authorities. The University invites applications for admission to these courses generally in the first week of March every year. Across both these courses, IPU has a sanctioned intake of 85% for Delhi region candidates, while the remaining 15% seats are for candidates belonging outside Delhi region. IPU Admission 2021: BPharm, BDS, MBBS, BHMS, BAMS

IPU offers various UG courses in Science and Medical stream. Admission to BPharm programme is based on a candidate's JEE Main score. For MBBS, BDS, BHMS and BAMS, the candidates are required to have appeared in NEET UG exam. The table below explains the eligibility criteria for these courses:

IPU Admission 2021: MPT, MOT, MCh, DM, MD, MS

IPU offers Science and Medical programmes at the PG level also. Admission to Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) and Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) programmes is based on IPU CET scores obtained by eligible candidates. These courses offer further specialisations, as listed below:

IPU does not play any role in admission to Super Specialty Medical programmes, including Magister Chirurgiae (MCh) and Doctorate of Medicine (DM). Candidates with valid NEET SS scores can directly apply for admission. However, final admission to these courses is granted through common counseling held by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India/ Director General of Health Services as per eligibility conditions specified by the Medical Council of India. The duration of MCh programme is five years, if pursued after MBBS, else, it is three years if pursued after MS degree. On the other hand, the DM programme is offered for a duration of three years. IPU University has three affiliated colleges, including VMCC & Safdarjung Hospital, PGIMER Dr. RML Hospital and PGIMSR ESI Hospital that collectively offer two more Super Specialty Medical programmes, including Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) across multiple specialisations as enlisted below. Admission to both these programmes is based on NEET SS scores.

IPU Admission 2021: MPO, PGAC, PGMC

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University admission to MPO and PGMC programmes is based on IPU CET and NEET UG ranks, respectively. For PGAC, a candidate has to appear for AIA-PGET conducted by AYUSH. The eligibility details are these courses are as follows:

IPU Application Process 2021

IPU application process 2021 for both Medical and Paramedical programmes across all affiliated institutes is conducted through a centralised application portal, which is directly accessible from the official website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (www.ipu.ac.in). Candidates are advised to fill the application form in online mode through any of the three browsers, including Internet Explorer (version 11)/ Mozilla Firefox (version 50 to 65)/ Google Chrome (version 53 to 72). The IPU application fee for both types of programmes is Rs 1,200 irrespective of the course nature. The steps to fill IPU application form 2021 are enlisted below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (www.ipu.ac.in) and click on the 'Admission' tab and further click on 'Online Admission Form' from the drag-down menu.

Step 2: Read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and click on 'Start' to proceed with the registration step of the application process.

Step 3: Enter the programme details and register with candidate's name, email ID and contact number. Here, candidates have the option to choose between 'CET' and Non-CET courses. Hit the 'Submit' button to proceed further.

Step 4: Candidates will receive an application sequence number, user ID and password for future logins and a link to the application form to proceed with further steps.

Step 5: In the first stage of the application form, enter personal details, such as name, parents' name, age, nationality, etc. Also, enter the present address information along with the permanent address.

Step 6: Fill in the essential qualification details, including the year of passing and the school/ institution attended. Also, enter details regarding entrance exam (if applicable).

Step 7: Upload the required set of documents and pay the prescribed application fee via debit card/ credit card/ net banking.
