Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the varsity had decided to grant provisional affiliations to all the colleges that had submitted an online application seeking affiliation.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTU-H) has announced that it will be conducting the annual fact-finding committee inspections to grant affiliations for the ensuring academic year 2020-21 in December.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the varsity had decided to grant provisional affiliations to all the colleges that had submitted an online application seeking affiliation. The college management has now been asked to submit an affidavit stating they will comply with all affiliation norms, and if they failed to do so, disciplinary action will be taken against them.

Apart from this, the varsity has also asked all the colleges to sign an undertaking on affiliation fees and common service fee dues by November 2, 2020.

The undertaking also states that the management has no issues if the Telangana State Council of Higher Education deducts the amount equivalent to the dues towards the affiliation and common services fee payable to JNTUH from the tuition fee collected from the students admitted during the academic year 2020-21 and transfer it to the JNTUH.

“Provisional affiliation letters for the academic year 2020-21 shall be issued to the colleges subject to the submission of undertaking with regard to dues (if any),” a circular released by the JNTUH stated.

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education conducts EAMCET examination. For taking admission into BTech programmes, candidates have to appear for this exam. The candidates who hold three years diploma and rank in EAMCET are also eligible to apply. The merit list of the following programmes- MTech, MBA, MCA and MPharmacy is prepared according to the rank obtained by the candidates in GATE or PGECET/ ICET/ GPAT examinations, respectively.
