Lovely Professional University, popularly known as LPU,  is a private university in Jalandhar, Punjab. The university was established in 2005. LPU offers various courses in streams such as Engineering, Management, Medical, etc. LPU's popular programmes are BTech, BBA, BCA and MBA. LPU has received the highest NAAC grade of ‘A++’ with a score of 3.68 on 4-point scale. 

Lovely Professional University offers various courses at UG, PG, and doctoral levels. LPU secured 24th position in India and 749th globally in QS World University Sustainability Rankings 2025. NIRF Rankings: LPU Topping the List

The National Institutional Ranking Framework, popularly known as NIRF, was launched by the Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development (MHRD) on 29th September 2015. NIRF follows a methodology to rank institutions across India. 

Why was NIRF launched? As per the media reports, the framework was introduced due to the bad performance of Indian Universities in World Rankings. NIRF ranks institutions on the basis of scores obtained in five major parameters: Teaching, Learning and Resource (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Outreach & Inclusivity (OI), Graduation Outcomes (GO) and Perception (PR).

LPU Placements 2025: Highest Package, Average Package, Top Companies

Lovely Professional University (LPU) has a dedicated placement cell that helps students achieve their career goals. As per the LPU placement report 2024, the highest package offered to BTech students stood at INR 64 LPA. More than 1500 students of the 2024 batch received job offers ranging between INR 10 LPA and INR 64 LPA. Some of the top recruiters that participate in LPU placements are Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Amazon, HCL to name a few. The average package offered to BTech and MBA students in LPU placements 2023 was INR 7 LPA respectively.
