The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh (MP), has released the registration schedule of admission for technical courses.
The DTE, Madhya Pradesh, conducts MP BE admissions to various participating institutes offering undergraduate engineering courses in the state. Registrations for MBA, MCA and ME/MTech courses will begin from August 18 and BE/BTech from September 25. However, September 25 is a provisional date as JEE-Main 2021 was conducted late due to the COVID-19 pandemic and results were declared recently.
Admission to MBA colleges will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) examination conducted through AICTE. MP will follow a CMAT-based counselling process for its MBA colleges, whereas the candidates will be offered admission to various participating colleges of MP BE on the basis of JEE Main and qualifying examination (class 10+2).
Candidates need to fill their choices of branch and colleges. DTE will prepare a separate merit list for all qualified candidates of JEE Main and Class 12th separately. On the basis of MP BE merit list, candidates will be allotted seats through MP counselling. DTE MP conducts two rounds of centralised counselling process for engineering courses followed by college-wise counselling. Admissions to the ME/MTech courses in MP are done on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam scores.
