Mangalore University Final Year Exams 2020 POSTPONED! In the wake of the heavy rains lashing Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, Mangalore University decided to postpone the ongoing degree and postgraduate exams scheduled for September 21. The University confirmed the news via an official press release. In a press release, the university said that the rescheduled date to be intimated shortly, remaining exam dates are unchanged and will be conducted as per schedule.
A reputed media source informed about the postponement of the exams Twitter, "Due to heavy rain in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi & Kodagu districts, scheduled UG/PG exams of the University on 21.09 has been postponed. The official press release published by the University reads, "Due to the heavy rains in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, the exams that were supposed to be held on Monday, September 21 will be postponed. Normal life has been thrown out of gear due to the rains in the two districts. Low-lying areas are receiving severe complaints and rain is causing waterlogging in several areas. It is difficult to access roads and even main roads, as the movement of traffic is severely affected due to rain. Considering the severity of the situation, the University decided to postpone exams as it would be difficult for students to attend exams. The new date for the exams will be announced later, Dr Dharma said.
