Most essential paths of life cannot be taken without being lost, says Anushka Jaiswal
No matter how much one thinks and hate school, they will always miss it when they pass out and the same happened to me. The school life is the best life that has no burden compared to the struggles in life later. I remember way back during school days, when I used to think every day, "Oh god! When will I grow up and there'll be no burden of studies all the time", but now the things have totally changed. I have done my schooling from Allahabad-Girls’ High School & College.
I always wanted to become an independent woman and have something of my own. The most motivating factors behind this are the women of my family who made their own identity and have set their own paths. So, thinking about what’s next to be done in life, I chose the Commerce stream. This will help in turning my dream of becoming an entrepreneur in to reality.
It was July 23, 2018, when I walked in through the gates of Master School of Management (MSM). I still remember the paranoia that accompanied me. My life had lost its direction after a year drop and nothing seemed to align. Although I was quite convinced about my decision, the butterflies in my stomach said otherwise. Leaving behind the comfort of home, for a place so far off, was I correct? Well, let me tell you now, being in the final year currently I'm convinced that this college has certainly transformed me holistically into a being that indeed is worth something in her own eyes and has the capability to present herself to the world despite difficulties. This nonetheless was important to me along with my academic excellence which I gained from this place.
What makes MSM different from other management colleges is that it nurtures its students first to be a good human being and thereafter anything else. I take pride in making this statement that MSM is a mini India. The student from every nook and corner of the country throng to seek admission in the institute. MSM has a cross-culture environment where diversity is celebrated, and the battle of ideas takes place inside and outside the classrooms.
First of all, let me first tell you why I chose this college. It’s the best choice for “Value for Money”, has a lesser crowd and people think that it is a drawback but actually it benefits all because it has individual focus which helps to enhance individual personality as a whole.
Let me put it in points for you what MSM is like:
- The faculty is always ready to bring the best to you. They put in efforts and expect the same from you. There isn't an escape from the hard work.
- The teachers will help you in every aspect and will teach you from scratch if you are keen enough.
- There are some college sessions too, such as Master Premier League (MPL) which include Book Review, Corporate Stories, News Masters all in itself were the greatest key to overcome our stage fear, improve our presentation skills and get better over time with all the competitive spirit and criticism in a healthy way.
- Timely guest lectures on issues that were trending in the industry kept us aware. Sometimes the lectures weren't even just limited to the four walls. There were numerous games and creative ways in which we learnt and developed a lot.
- The Summer internships provided us with the opportunity to apply our knowledge in a practical way and know where we stand.
These are the USPs of our college and these are the reasons that contributed to bringing in me the change that was much necessary. I have changed and for the better. Whatever I expected myself to be when I walk out of college after two years, I think I am really content and at par with that. My journey at MSM wasn't the smoothest fairy tale and maybe that's what was needed for me to break free.
