The schools in Gautam Buddh Nagar district have been allowed to collect the fees for the academic year 2020-21 but they can't hike fees, said the district administration.

The schools in Gautam Buddh Nagar district have been allowed to collect the fees for the academic year 2020-21 but they can't hike fees, said the district administration.

“Schools in Gautam Buddh Nagar district can collect the fee for the academic year 2020-21 but no school shall increase the fee for the academic year 2020-21. Government of Uttar Pradesh has waived off transport fees for the period of lockdown/till schools are closed,” according to a notice issued by the district administration.

During the lockdown period, the schools can't charge any transportation fees and can't deny students from attending online classes, the notice read.

It further read that if any school is found to be violating the order, parents can complain to secretary/DIOS, District Fee Regulation Committee at feecommitteegbn@gmail.com.

After making inquiry as per Section 8(4)(b) and hearing the school authorities for non-compliance of government orders on receipt of the complaint, if any, from a student or guardians or parents-teachers association, the District Fee Regulatory Committee can take necessary action against the school.

The administration has also listed out the do's and don'ts as regard to the schools in Noida, Greater Noida:

If any parent has deposited the increased fees then it would be adjusted in subsequent months, the administration said. 

On violation of the orders, the penalty that will be imposed are listed below:

1. For the first time--financial punishment up to one lakh, with refunding of the excess fee levied, from a student to the notified fee

2. For the second time-financial punishment of five lakh financial, with refunding of the excess fee levied.

3. For the third time--withdrawal of recognition/affiliation to the concerned board, in addition to the withdrawal of permission of developmental fund for a certain period as may be decided by it.
