The inception of the Ramaiah Group of Institutes dates back to 1962, with the foundation of Ramaiah Institute of Technology by Late Dr MS Ramaiah, Founder and Chairman, Ramaiah Group.  The Ramaiah Medical College was set up in 1979. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT) offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses across Engineering, Management, Computer Applications and Research streams.
