According to the latest announcement made by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sonu has joined forces with the Delhi government for their mentorship initiative for children. Delhi government has appointed Sonu Sood as the brand ambassador of its Desh Ke Mentor program.
With all the helping and generous gestures that Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has shown during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has already gained an image of a real-life hero for a common man. Now, the actor is all set to be an inspiration for children. According to the latest announcement made by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sonu has joined forces with the Delhi government for their mentorship initiative for children. Delhi government has appointed Sonu Sood as the brand ambassador of its Desh Ke Mentor program. Speaking at the occasion, the actor shared, "Today, I have been given an opportunity to mentor lakhs of students. There is no greater service than guiding students. I am sure together we can & we will.”
Expressing gratitude for being a part of this initiative, CM Kejriwal shared, “We are thankful to Sonu Sood for taking out time from his busy schedule. He is an inspiration for the entire country. Thousands reach out to him for help. This is a sort of miracle that he has been doing what so many governments have not been able to do. We had a long chat about his work and shared the work of the Delhi government with him.”
After Sonu Sood’s recent meeting with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, rumours were rife that the actor is planning to join politics. Denying all the rumors, the actor clarified at the press conference, “There is nothing political. People have always told me to get into politics and one has to be blessed to join politics. But as of now, we haven't discussed anything political. I have been getting constant offers but I have never really thought about it and that's why I haven't discussed that.”
