Hi there! I'm S Jeevasuriya from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and I'm currently pursuing my PGDM at Dayananda Sagar Business School. Prior to this, I completed my BBA in Shipping at AMET University. Through my internships in Operations and Marketing, I gained valuable experience and now I'm looking to further enhance my knowledge and move forward in my career. 

Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose your PGDM at DSBS?

In the transition from 10th to 11th grade, I made a carefully considered decision to choose commerce as my stream of study for the next two years. This choice was driven by a deep-seated interest in the fields of business and management studies. I have always been fascinated by the intricate workings of the corporate world, the dynamics of trade and finance, and the art of effective leadership. It became evident to me that the commerce stream would be the perfect platform to lay the foundation for my future endeavors in these areas. Commerce, with its diverse subjects like economics, accounting, and business studies, provides a holistic understanding of the business world. I believe that having a strong grasp of these concepts is essential for anyone looking to succeed in the realm of business and management. To build a promising career in management, I have opted for a PGDM program at Dayananda Sagar Business School following the successful completion of my BBA degree at AMET University, Chennai. This decision aligns with my strong passion for business and management.

My time at Dayananda Sagar Business School (DSBS) has been transformative, both academically and personally. Throughout my college journey, I have dedicated myself to engaging in research projects and actively participating in various club activities, which has allowed me to deepen my knowledge and develop a range of valuable skills. Among the courses offered at DSBS, marketing and finance classes have been my absolute favorites, as they resonated with me on a profound level and ignited my passion and determination to excel in these areas. However, it's not just the academic aspect that has shaped my college experience. DSBS has provided a fertile ground for personal growth, as I have honed my leadership skills through my involvement in club activities and research projects. I have learned to collaborate effectively with my peers, delegate responsibilities, and manage projects, which have been invaluable in shaping my character and helping me emerge as a confident and capable leader.
