My experience of pursuing PGDM from JIMS Rohini has been nothing short of transformative. It has provided me with a wealth of knowledge, exposure to various industries, and endless opportunities for personal and professional growth.

First and foremost, Pursuing PGDM after a background in Hotel Management was a challenging but rewarding experience for me. PGDM has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the business world. Through rigorous coursework and engaging discussions with my classmates and professors, I have been exposed to different facets of business such as finance, marketing, operations, and HR. I have learned how to analyze complex business problems, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions. This knowledge has been invaluable in shaping my perspective on business and has equipped me with the tools necessary to succeed in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.

In addition to the curriculum, my PGDM experience has also provided me with numerous opportunities for exposure to different industries. Whether it be through an internship with “ Motilal Oswal ”, Live Project with “Vehicle Care” networking events, guest lectures, or industry-specific clubs, I have had the chance to interact with professionals from a wide range of sectors. This exposure has allowed me to gain insights into the intricacies of various industries, understand their unique challenges and opportunities, and explore potential career paths. It has broadened my horizons and given me a holistic view of the business landscape, enabling me to make more informed decisions about my own career trajectory.

Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, Delhi can be a good option for studying a three-year BCA course. At Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, Delhi, this course is affiliated with IPU. Hence, after the completion of this course, students will receive a degree from IP University. In this course, students get to build their knowledge around a diverse range of topics on disruptive technologies like Data Science, Cyber Security, Big Data Analytics etc. Apart from the regular curriculum, various seminars, workshops and symposiums are conducted by the institute time-to-time. As per the data available on the official website, the placement cell of Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, Delhi has witnessed 100% placements in the year 2023. During the placement drive of the year 2023, the overall the highest package stood at INR 22 LPA. There were many top recruiters such as PwC, Berger, Maruti Suzuki, ITC visited during the campus placements.

A:

Currently, Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini is running under the guidance of Dr. Pooja Jain. She has been associated with the institute for 18 years and is currently the acting director of the institute. Her areas of interest include Rural Marketing, Comsumer Behavior, Branding, and ICT applications. The institute further have 30 members as part of the core faculty.

One aspect of my PGDM experience that has truly set it apart is the emphasis on real-world learning and industry engagement. Many PGDM programs strive to bridge the gap between academia and industry, and my program was no exception. We were encouraged to participate in case competitions, consult with real companies on their business challenges, and work on hands-on projects that simulated real-world business scenarios. These experiences provided a practical application of the concepts learned in class and allowed us to develop important skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. Moreover, they provided us with exposure to industry professionals and the opportunity to build a network of contacts that could potentially lead to internships, job offers, or mentorship opportunities.

Lastly, my PGDM program also provided me with a campus placement in ICICI Bank as a “Deputy Manager 2” with a package of INR 8.29 LPA. The career services department offered workshops on resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies. JIMS organized networking events and job fairs, connecting students with alumni and potential employers. Additionally, faculty members and alumni were always available for guidance and mentorship, sharing their own industry experiences and providing valuable insights into the job application process. As a result, I felt confident and well-prepared when my time came to enter the job market, and I was able to secure a position at a reputable company i.e. ICICI Bank in my desired banking industry.

In conclusion, my experience with pursuing PGDM has been extremely rewarding. It has provided me with a solid foundation of business knowledge, exposure to various industries, and access to a wide range of career opportunities. I have gained insights, developed skills, and built a network that will continue to benefit me throughout my career. My PGDM journey at the JIMS Technical campus has not only enhanced my professional capabilities but has also transformed me into a well-rounded individual ready to tackle the challenges of the business world.
