University of California, Riverside signs MoU with Ahmedabad University

The University of California, Riverside (UCR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ahmedabad University to team up on various areas of mutual academic interests such as exchange of graduates, faculty, PhD scholars and undergraduate students. Apart from this, they decided to partner in administrators' areas of education, research, and outreach. Moreover, it also looks for the exchange of academic information and research material; as well as see methods to collaborate in postgraduate education and training.

During the academic year or summer terms, the institutions are also looking for possibilities for graduate and professional students exchange. The MoU also inspires the institutions to grow joint research partnerships, conferences, workshops, and academic programmes. According to Professor Thomas M Smith, Executive Vice-Chancellor at the University of California, Riverside, Ahmedabad University was one of India’s most advanced universities, and they are pleased to sanctify their academic understanding with them.

Professor Bibek Banerjee, Senior Dean of Strategic Initiatives and Planning at the Ahmedabad University, stated that the partnership with UC Riverside was in line with their globalisation tactics. They aspire to offer exposure to their faculty and students that are capably transformational, especially when they get to partner with other world-class institutions. The University of California, Riverside had been identified among the top transformative universities in the United States for 2019-20 by Money Magazine.
