Earlier, the state government decided to promote nearly 30 lakh UG and PG students. Following the decision, the first and second-year undergraduate and first-year postgraduate students will be promoted without examinations.
UP College Exam 2021: The Uttar Pradesh Government on June 8, 2021, stated that the state would be conducting only final year exams for undergraduate courses. The government also issued guidelines for annual and semester examinations in state and private universities for the academic year 2020-21 that has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Reports suggest that talking about the conduct of UP College Exam 2021, Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, who also holds the higher education portfolio, said that the students of the universities, where the first-year exams in undergraduate courses were not held, will be promoted to the second year. However, based on the second-year exams in 2022, the marks for their first year will be decided.
Meanwhile, for second-year students, who have appeared in the first year examinations in 2020, the authority can decide their marks based on the score in the first year, and accordingly, they can be promoted to the third year, Mr Sharma said in a statement.
Without elaborating much, Mr Sharma said that the examinations for the third-year students will be conducted. He further said that the government has also issued the guidelines for exams to post-graduate and semester courses. Practical tests will not be held, and the marks will be decided based on theory examinations. The oral examinations (viva voce), if needed, will be held online.
Talking about UP Exams Results 2021, Mr Sharma said that the examination system will be simplified at the university level and the results will be declared by August 31. The academic session 2021-22 will begin from September 13, 2021, Mr Sharma said.
A recent tweet posted by Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma also states that UP College Exam 2021 for the undergraduate second year and third year and Postgraduate final years students will be conducted by August 15. Check out the tweet below:
While a detailed schedule is yet to be released, the tweet shared by the minister states that UP College Exam 2021 will be OMR-based, multiple-choice and a combination of detailed questions. The duration of the exam has also been reduced to one and a half hours. However, the government is yet to release an official notification regarding the same.
