According to an official notice released by the education department, offline classes will be held from August 23 for Classes 6 to 8, while for Classes 1 to 5, offline classes will be held from September 1.
UP Schools Reopening: Considering the declining cases of the novel coronavirus, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to reopen the schools. While giving instructions to the officials of Team-9 on August 16, CM Yogi Adityanath said that schools must ensure education via offline classes after Raksha Bandhan. According to an official notice released by the department, classes will be held from August 23 for Classes 6 to 8, while for Classes 1 to 5, offline classes will be held from September 1. According to the recommendations made by the State Level Health Expert Advisory Committee, offline classes commenced from Monday with 50 percent capacity in secondary, higher, technical, and vocational educational institutions. The department has stated that classes will run in two shifts everywhere, also proper care will be taken off the COVID protocols.

UP school reopening guidelines
Earlier, the UP government decided to reopen the schools and other educational institutions from August 16. The state government also released the guidelines in this regard.
According to the guidelines issued by the state government to the education officers regarding school reopening, the classes will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will run from 8 am to 12 noon and the second from 12:30 to 4:30 pm. The strength of the shifts will remain 50 percent in both shifts.
In order to attend offline classes in school, students must have written consent from their parents. Classes will be held in secondary schools from Monday to Friday. Wearing masks and carrying hand sanitizers following social distancing would be a must while attending offline classes in school.
