Vaccinate all govt. school teachers, staff members immediately: Delhi Government

Despite prior directions, it came under notice that some teachers are yet to be vaccinated. Hence, the government further listed certain directions to be followed in order to vaccinate all the teachers of government schools.

Vaccinate all the government school teachers & staff of Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, said the state government in its latest notice. “Government school teachers & staff of GNCT Delhi have been spearheading the COVID-19 response of GNCT of Delhi. Teachers have been deployed on several fronts to contain the spread of COVID-19. Teachers have gone beyond the call of duty in the management of containment zones, Airports vaccination drive, ration distribution, oxygen management, etc. It is imperative that the Directorate of Education ensures all the Government Schools Teachers get vaccinated on an immediate basis,” the notice reads.

Delhi government in its circular No OSD/DE/2021/23 Dated 01/06/2021 directed the head of all the Government Schools of Directorate of Education to take all necessary steps for vaccination of all the government school teachers on urgent basis. However, despite the orders, it came under notice that some teachers are yet to be vaccinated. Hence, the government further listed certain directions to be followed in order to vaccinate all the teachers of government schools. The notice directs all DDE (District) DDE (Zone) & HOSs of govt schools of DOE to-

1. Immediately vaccinated all the left out teachers, staff and ensure that all teachers & school staff who have not taken the first dose should be immediately vaccinated within 15 days positively.
2. Ensure that teachers who have taken the 1^st dose of vaccine should get the second dose of vaccine as per the vaccination protocol of Ministry of Health & family welfare, GOl.
3. Ensure that teachers & school staff comply the COVID protocol issued by GNCT of Delhi & GOI in this regard

The government also asked all the HOS of all government schools to daily upload the status of vaccinated school staff on the Google Tracker (https //forms gle/RvPCEirildTh8oed49) by 4 PM without fail.
