Govt mulls over setting up of an Aviation University
Union Government is planning to set up a world class aviation university to meet the needs of the aviation industry. There is an acute shortage of skilled professionals in the aviation industry.
Civil Aviation minister Ajit Singh said that we are looking forward to set up world class training and education infrastructure for the aviation sector in the country. He has made this announcement at the inauguration of the third edition of India Aviation 2012 - the International Civil Aviation Exhibition and Conference at Begumpet Airport. (Read more)
Aviation sector lacks skilled professionals and there is an urgent need of skilled professionals for the constant growth of the sector. The government has proposed to set up a full-fledged university to increase the supply of trained pilots and other skilled professionals in the aviation sector.
As part of the endeavor, some more activities are underway that includes efforts by CAE Canada and CAPA among others. The best example of such endeavors is CAE global flying training institute at Gondia in Maharashtra and CAE simulator training facilities at Bangalore.
