JEE Main 2014: Chapter-wise difficulty level of exam questions
In the second part of the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2014 offline paper analysis, shiksha.com brings you the chapter-wise difficulty level of the questions in the JEE Main (Offline) exam 2014.
Students who took the exam on the first day today (April 6), shared that the paper this year was extremely tough, way more than last year's JEE Main. However, according to experts there was no change in the paper pattern. In fact, the level of paper was easier than 2013. Students also reported that Physics and Maths were easy but lengthy. Chemistry was reported to be the easiest.
In Physics, 54% questions were easy, 33% medium level and 13% difficult. More weightage was given to chapters like Mechanics & Electromagnetism, Optics, Modern Physics and Magnetics.
In Chemistry, 60% questions were easy, 37% medium level and 3% difficult. More weightage was given to chapters in Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry than Inorganic chemistry.
In Mathematics, 50% questions were easy, 37% medium level and 13% difficult. More weightage was given to chapters of Algebra, Co-Ordinate Geometry, Calculus than Vector & 3 Dimensional Geometry and Trigonometry.
