JEE Mains 2018: Know Toppers
JEE Main results and All India Ranks(AIR) got declared on April 30 along with JEE Main 2018 cut for JEE Advanced. The first rank in the exam has been secured by Bhogi Suraj Krishna from Andhra Pradesh while the second topper of JEE Main 2018 is KVR Hemant Kumar Chodipilli from Andhra Pradesh.
Parth Laturia from Maharashtar bagged the third place (AIR 3) in JEE Main 2018 and scored 350 out of 360. Laturia studied in Maharashtra till Class X and moved to Kota for coaching. He shared, “ I believe a regular study is the key to success. I used to regularly revise every subject after the daily class. Apart from the regular coaching, I used to devote 5-6 hours for studies. Every day I had some subject wise targets that I used to complete. My friend Akash's mother lived with us, which helped us. My mother also used to visit me from time to time. Now the preparation for JEE-advanced lies ahead”.

Despite both parents being doctors, Parth got his hands in engineering. He is inclined towards Maths and likes solving questions. Because of this interest in Maths, his asked him to prepare for Engineering Entrance Examination.

After appearing for JEE Main for admissions to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, aspirants also need to appear for JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. JoSAA counselling happens after JEE Advanced is over and the results are declaredAspirants who manage to secure Paper 1 cut-offs will be eligible for admissions to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. Those who clear Paper 2 cut-offs will qualify for admissions to 824 BArch seats offered by various NITs, IIITs and GFTIs across the country.
