Top Engineering Colleges in Rajasthan- In the academic session 2019-20, the Rajasthan government have claimed improvement in the quality of education in technical institutions and engineering colleges in the state. This time out of 144 only 15 Engineering Colleges could only make it to the Quality Index Value- QIV list. The data was released by the Quality Analysis of Technical Education report of 2019-20.

With an aim to help students assess the institute before taking admission, Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) has rated its affiliated top engineering colleges in Rajasthan on the basis of Quality Index Value (QIV).

The QIV index depends on some of the defined valuable parameters such as student-teacher ratio, number of courses available in each college, total enrolment of students and teachers, number of smart classes, hostel facility and mess (food quality), insurance, playground, number of students scoring first division marks, number of conferences organised, seminars and journals published by the university in an academic session.

What is Quality Index Value - (QIV)?

The full form of QIV is Quality Index Value. QIV is considered one of the finest parameters to judge the education institutions/colleges in the state which has the highest scores with the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). NBA focuses on outcome-based education rather than facility-based education. The affiliaction of top Engineering Colleges in Rajasthan under QIV will help these educational institutes to perform better and improve their deficiencies.

List of Top RTU Affiliated Institutes having QIV above 600

Among 144 engineering colleges in Rajasthan which were graded, 15 top technical institutions have managed to bag the top slot of A-grade by securing 600 and above out of 1,000 points to qualify for List A slot.

Swami Keshwanand Institute of Technology Management & Gramothan, Jaipur secured the highest, 945 points and Poornima College of Engineering, Jaipur has secured second place with 902 points. Have a look at the table for the list of top 15 ranking colleges having QIV above 600.

Top Engineering Colleges in Rajasthan with A grade will be rewarded by RTU. While A grade colleges will get affiliation for five years, colleges securing B grade will get an affiliation for three years. Colleges with C grade will be given temporary affiliation by RTU. Currently, as many as 144 engineering colleges are affiliated to RTU. Admissions to undergraduate engineering programs in the colleges/institutes of Rajasthan is done on the basis of Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan.
