Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET), is the entrance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to BTech and BPharma programs offered by various colleges in Gujarat. The exam is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). GUJCET is a state-level entrance examination. The allotment of seats is done based on scores obtained in the examination.

What's new in the GUJCET Exam?

As per the official announcement from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board last year, two new changes were brought in GUJCET. They are as follows:

• Marks in subjects other than Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12 will also be considered for preparing the GUJCET merit list.
• Out of the total seats in government colleges, 5 percent of seats will be filled through JEE Main 2025 score while the remaining 95 percent of seats will be filled through GUJCET 2025

The candidates must check the GUJCET 2025 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The application form of the candidate not fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be rejected. The various conditions of eligibility for GUJCET 2025 as per Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board are 

• The candidate must be an Indian and should have a Gujarat domicile.
• The candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates applying 
• The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject for pharmacy.
• The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subject for Engineering.
• Candidates should have scored 45% (40% for the reserved category) in Class 12.

The GUJCET application form 2025 is closed. The GUJCET 2025 registration last date was January 15, 2025. GUJCET Application form 2025 was available online on the website gseb.org and gujcet.gseb.org. The GUJCET 2025 application form had to be filled and submitted online by the candidates.

The application process of GUJCET 2025 includes registration, filling the form, uploading scanned images, and payment of application fees. Candidates have to first register and then they can fill the GUJCET form 2025. Subsequently, upload the required documents which includes scanned image of photo and signature and, pay the requisite fee online. Candidates who register within the specified dates will be issued GUJCET 2024 admit cards to appear in the exam. The step-by-step guide to fill GUJCET application form 2025 are:

• Registration: The candidates must register by entering their Email ID and mobile Number. Candidates also need to create a password of their choice which they have to use for future login
• Pay Application Fees: After registration, candidates need to pay the GUJCET application fees. The fee has to be paid online using a credit/debit card or internet banking.
• Filling the Application Form: Candidates can login using their Email ID or Mobile Number and the password created to open the application form.  The following steps should be followed to complete the application process. 
  • Complete the online fee payment.
  • Fill and save the application form: 
  • All the information asked in the application form must be filled.
  • Photo and signature of the candidate must be uploaded.
  • Submit the saved application form.
• Download and Take Printout: Once the application form is filled, candidates should download and take its printout as it will be required at the time of counsellig and admission process. Candidates must keep the printout safe.

GUJCET Application Form Correction 2025

The facility for application form correction will be provided after the completion of the application process. All registered candidates who wish to make any changes to their filled application form will be allowed to do so during the application correction window. The facility for GUJCET 2025 application correction will be provided online at the website gujcet.gseb.org.

The GSEB has released details of GUJCET 2025 syllabus on the website and the same can be checked here. GUJCET syllabus is based on Gujarat State Board Class 11 and Class 12 subjects. The GUJCET syllabus covers all the topics from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology taught in Class 11 and Class 12. Before taking the exam, students should thoroughly learn all the topics included in the GUJCET syllabus 2025. By referring to previous year question papers candidates will have an understanding of the types of questions, exam pattern, weightage given for the various topics etc.

GUJCET Syllabus 2025

GUJCET 2025 exam pattern has been released by the GSEB board. The examination pattern details given below are based on the question papers from the previous years. The GUJCET 2025 exam pattern has been published on the official website and the same can be checked here. 

• The exam will be conducted online as a pen-paper based test.
• The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
• The question paper will be available in English, Gujarati and Hindi.
• The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for the Engineering course. For the Pharmacy course, questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• The question paper will have a total of 120 multiple-choice questions, and 40 MCQs from each subject.
• Each correct answer will be given one mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Check GUJCET Syllabus and Exam Pattern: It is very important to first understand the syllabus and pattern of the exam.
