Jobs in Banking sector is most preferred by most of the people. After the entry of many new players in the banking sector the opportunity of getting a job in this sector is high. Earlier the banks use to offer many schemes just for saving accounts and for mutual funds but now they throw many more offers to grab more clients in the market. They give special features and offers to customers. Now most of the banks provide online banking and easy loans. Most of the banks offer home loans, personal loans, education loans, and vehicle loans etc for their metropolitan clients and agricultural loans for their clients who live in villages and remote areas of the country. This is the new style to attract more customers to be the client of the bank. Everything has become more commercialize now, so the bank too requires being on the same level.

To cope up with the increasing demands and to set a benchmark in the market every bank requires efficient employees. Banks hire people at different levels and on various posts. Banks now hire more people as their sales representatives and PO's. Most of the banks now have a special section for help desk, where people can take help of that officer in filling up the form, and can also get information about various offers, schemes and procedures for applying for loans etc. Banks have become more customer friendly and people oriented. Appointing more people to help the customers and to listen to their queries related to various term of investment and loans shows that banks now want to attract more people by showing that every customer is really important for them. Oriental Bank of Commerce is planning to recruit 1,600 people, including 373 special officers, in this fiscal year. The state-run lender's chairman and managing director T.Y. Prabhu said the bank had recruited 1,290 people in last fiscal year and planning for further extension. He also mentioned that in the this fiscal year the bank will more focus on lending to small and medium enterprises, housing, retail and agricultural sector.
