Tips to Prepare for Verbal Ability

Candidates preparing for BUMAT must know the important tips to prepare for the verbal ability section. Check the important tips below:

Focus on Vocabulary

One of the important aspects of the verbal ability section is to have good vocabulary skills. To enhance vocabulary, one must promise oneself to learn a new word each day. Learn new words in a fun way by downloading mobile applications and practising on the go. Make sure to apply the new words in daily life while having conversations with friends/family. Take notes of the new words and idioms and inculcate them in daily sentences.

Practice number of questions

Aspirants must practise questions from the previous year's question papers to become familiar with the pattern of questions. Solving questions will help candidates assess their weak areas and build more confidence. Solving questions will also help in improving speed and accuracy which is required for any BBA entrance exam

Read! Read! and Read!

Reading is one of the essential ways to improve vocabulary. One must read from different genres instead of reading from one’s preferred genre. Reading from different genres will help one to run into new words and become aware of current events. Aspirants must make sure to take note of the new words.

Revise the topics/Grammar

Without revision, it will be difficult to retain the concepts pertaining to grammar. One must refer to the notes created at the time of preparation. Revise the grammar topics which are essential for solving questions from spotting errors.
