Life in the aviation industry isn’t all that glamorous and fun as one thinks it to be. It involves immense hard work as well taking responsibility for your and other people’s actions. To give you an insight into how life actually is in the skies, we spoke to Serena Sequeira, a Flight Attendant with Jet Airways. Having an experience of four years in this field, Serena earlier worked for Kingfisher Airlines and shared that she thought of pursuing a career in this field because she was always interested in visiting new places and interacting with people and a career in aviation has granted her all this.

This beautiful, well-spoken girl never actually went in for any training to become a flight stewardess, however, she shares that most aspirants join air hostess training academies wherein they receive grooming and guidance on what to expect in their everyday professional life along with giving them an understanding of whether they will be able to handle pressure.

She further shared that in order to become an air hostess, the most important thing is to be oneself. Apart from this, aspirants need to be humble because no matter how talented you are if your attitude comes across wrongly, no airline will consider you. The primary criteria on which candidates are shortlisted by airlines are not to do with their looks but their attitude.
