BBA+MBA Integrated Course & Colleges in India
One may ask, if I can pursue business management at the postgraduate level after graduating from any stream, then why an Integrated MBA? While any UG degree and an MBA is as useful as an Integrated MBA, the latter has certain benefits one can’t overlook. Candidates pursuing a five-year MBA integrated course have certain advantages in terms of the syllabus and curriculum of the courses. For instance, in the five-year programme, no course or subjects are repeated. Candidates will progress to advanced levels of management education after two years. In the case of pursuing an MBA after a BBA, candidates will have to repeat core subjects. Also, a five-year integrated MBA saves the student from appearing for the entrance exams and selection process twice (at UG and PG level), saving at least a year that goes into preparation for some of the top MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, etc.

What to Consider While Choosing an Intergrated MBA Programme?
The following factors should be taken into consideration when opting for a BBA MBA integrated course:
- Candidates must be very clear about their career goals and interests from the beginning, as an Integrated MBA is a five-year course; and for five years they will study only business administration. So if a candidate is interested in specific fields such as Finance or IT/Operations, he/she should opt for BCom or BTech at the undergraduate level.
- Reputable universities and colleges such as IIM Indore, IIM Rohtak, IIFT, etc. offer an Integrated MBA. Hence, aspirants must select the college with utmost care and foresight. They must go through the college websites and read about the infrastructure, facilities, etc. offered at the institute.
- Several IITs and engineering institutes offer BTech MBA dual programmes. The combination of BTech and MBA is one of the most sought-after ones in the job market. The candidate who chooses this combination at the Class 12 level, will have an upper hand later.
- When choosing a college for the Integrated MBA programme, the candidates must ensure that the admission process is conducted only once and not twice (after completion of the first three years).
- Also, they must check the syllabus and semesters of all five years to have a better understanding of what they will be studying during the course, and that the syllabus is not repeated at UG and PG levels.

Q: Is SRM University good for B.Tech?
Here are some positive and negative points of SRM University:
Positive:
- Located in Chennai which is a metropolitan city. Three out of five campuses are located in Chennai
- You can have a lot of fun
- In KTR, there are a lot of opportunities provided to students to develop their profile like hundreds of clubs, teams like robocon, conrods, camber, and 4ze where students can build their own bots, cars and stuff. If you are really interested in your field then you can do anything in SRM
- Canteen facilities are excellent
- As far as placements are concerned, most students are placed in IT sector. Core companies also visit the campus but they select only one or two students. In a batch of 500600 students i.e. 1520 students are placed in core companies. But still that depends on your skills and we can’t blame the university for that.
Negative:
- The student to faculty ratio is too high.
- Faculty members are not very highly skilled, though they are postgraduates in their respective field. Most of them have completed M.Tech from other local colleges. There are very few from IITs and foreign universities.
- The curriculum is old.
- The evaluation system is also not very good.
- Very little research happens here. Most of the faculty members don’t have any publications
- Also, if you have a lot of money you can join in management quota into any branch you want. Almost half of the students have joined in management quota.
All the best.
