The difficulty level of the three sections in the JIPMAT exam varies from year to year, and it depends on the individuals preparation. However, based on the previous years question papers and test taker feedback, the DILR section is considered the toughest among the three sections. DILR section can be challenging because it requires strong analytical and logical reasoning skills to interpret and analyse data and make logical decisions. The questions in this section can be complex and time-consuming, and it requires candidates to have a good understanding of the underlying concepts and the ability to apply them in real-life scenarios. Moreover, each section carries an equal weightage in the JIPMAT exam, and a good overall score requires a balanced performance across all three sections. IPMAT Indore: IPMAT is conducted annually by the  Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore). The IIM Indore IPMAT is conducted in the computer-based test mode for admission to the Integrated Program in Management (IPM).

IPMAT Rohtak: IPMAT Rohtak or IPM Aptitude Test is conducted annually by the Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak (IIM Rohtak). The exam is conducted for admission to the Integrated Program in Management (IPM). The IPM AT is conducted in the computer-based test mode (CBT).

A:

The IPM Rohtak entrance exam consists of multiple sections, including Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. All the sections in the IPM Aptitude Test question paper carries multiple-choice questions. There are no subjective questions in the IPM AT exam. Each question carries four marks. One mark will be deducted from the total score for each incorrect answer. The students have to complete the exam within two hours or 120 minutes. Given below is the number of questions in each section:

Quantitative Aptitude: 40 questions

Verbal Ability: 40 questions

Logical Reasoning: 40 questions

Q:   What is the marking scheme of IPMAT?

A:

IPMAT has a total of 120 questions. The Quantitative Aptitude section (part 1 and 2) carry 100 marks each and the Verbal Ability section carries 200 marks. For each correct attempt, four marks are awarded and one mark is deducted for an incorrect attempt. There is no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Therefore, the total marks of IPMAT is 400. Sectional marking scheme for IPMAT is given below:

Verbal Ability:

  • Number of questions: 50 questions
  • Total marks: 200

Quantitative Aptitude (multiple-choice questions):

  • Number of questions: 25
  • Total marks: 100

Quantitative Aptitude (short answer type questions):

  • Number of questions: 25
  • Total marks: 100

Since IPMAT has negative marking scheme, candidates must choose the questions to solve very carefully and smartly. If they are not sure of the correct answer, they should leave the question instead of taking a chance.

Q:   What is the sectional time limit in IPMAT?

A:

The IPMAT exam is conducted for two hours or 120 minutes. The exam is conducted every year in the computer-based test mode. There are three sections in the IPMAT question paper, I. e. two sections on Quantitative Aptitude and one section on Verbal Ability. Each section is to be solved within 40 minutes. Since IPMAT is a centre-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section automatically as soon as the time limit gets over. Thus candidates have to be mindful of the on-screen timer and pre-decide the number of questions to solve in each section. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in IPMAT exam so candidates can devise a strategy to use 40 minutes per section as per their strength and weakness. Candidates must also keep in mind the negative marking in the IPMAT exam. One mark will be deducted from the overall score for each incorrect answer.

Candidates need to answer all questions in JIPMAT exam within a time duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes in English medium.
